GREETING! !

April showers bring May flowers and June is busting out all over! How great to see green leaves and the beautiful Spring flowers. Over the long, cold winter we tend to forget how wonderful Spring really is.

SPECIAL GUESTS

On Wednesday, June 8th at 7:00 pm, we will be welcoming Mark and Peg Buehlman. Remember when our own 'Clint Buehlman' got us up and running for the day with the time, news, weather and school closings? Well, his son and daughter-in-law will be with us for more of those memories. Not only that, they have "The Rock", an Environmental Center on Gooseneck Road, Delevan, and will tell us all about it.

Sounds like a great evening. Come enjoy the program and we will be serving refreshments.

OLD EDITIONS BOOKSHOP & CAFE

Sony if you missed our trip to Ron Cozzi's book store. The shop is in a completely renovated warehouse and is definitely pleasing to the eye. Rug covered floors, couches and chairs for reading comfort and the most wonderful collection of books available. The 'Cafe' is great for lunch or just for a cup of coffee.

Ron was a most congenial host and we all left with at least one or more books tucked under our arms. A great afternoon!

A VISITOR

Dona Pritchard Benne from Michigan was in Town recently and visited our Lucy Bensley Library bearing gifts. She brought pictures, a poem from a Pritchard reunion, a wonderful B&O R.R. lantern, an autograph book and a wonderful name plate off a buggy manufactured by Chaffee & Son, just to name a few of the items. It was great of Dona to remember us. Her Mother had worked for Bell Telephone and her Dad had charge of the Street Department for the Village. Thanks again, Dona.

A LONG LIST OF THANK YOU'S !

The Rotary Club for a donation for more cupboards in the Lucy Bensley Center.

We apologize if we've missed anyone and do appreciate everything that has been given to us.

175m ANNIVERSARY

We were privileged to help with G.I.'s 175th Anniversary and hope that everyone enjoyed some part of it. It was fun getting our memorabilia.

DAIRY FESTIVAL

The Dairy Festival will be held this weekend June 3,4, and 5th. we are looking forward to being part of it. Watch for our wagon in the 'parade' and the Civil War Encampment on the grounds of the Museum.

VICTORIAN TEA

Our Annual Victorian Tea will be July 10th. Please attend and help us celebrate this event. It would be nice to see costume 'dress up', otherwise, come as you are. There are 'new' displays to view and always good 'refreshments'.

SUMMER MEETINGS

There will be no regular meeting in July, the Tea will replace it.

In August the regular meeting will be replaced by your visit to the Erie County Fair to see our display in the Historical Building.

P.S.

We're the 'proud' owners of a 1914 Stewart truck from the Carl Wiley estate! Watch for it with the comp1etion of the "Country Store".

Oh, yes, did you notice all our flowers at the Museum, thanks to Jennie and Gert?

HAPPY TRAILS ! ! !
